The Tubano drum has a distinctive Afro-Cuban influence and is similar to traditional Conga drums. This instrument has a specially shaped sound chamber that amplifies the big, open resonant sounds that it creates, yet is very easy on children’s hands.
IQ Plus’ modern version of this instrument is part of our Upbeats Series line of drums, and is crafted from 100% synthetic materials with an Acousticon body and a Fiberskyn head. The IQ Plus Tubano has a special sound chamber that amplifies the lower tone of the drum, while also featuring unique cut-outs at the bottom, allowing more sound to escape thereby creating more open resonating tones.
